CUTTING THE CAKE

The tradition symbolizes the first task in the couple's life together.  After the cake is cut, the bride and groom feed each other the first slice.  This action symbolizes the commitment to provide for each other.  In some American weddings, feeding the first slice looks more like a food-fight (ours did). Either way, be sure your photographer is ready, as this tradition makes for memorable photographs.

WHEN SHOULD WE BEGIN LOOKING FOR A WEDDING CAKE?
It is never too early to plan for your wedding cake. Many brides reserve a year or more in advance of the wedding, and reservations are accepted closer to the wedding date if there is an opening. A deposit of $85 will be required to reserve my services. The deposit is applied to your cake cost. Consulations are by appointment only.

HOW DO WE BEGIN THE PROCES OF ORDERING A WEDDING CAKE?
Contact me by phone or e-mail to schedule an appointment. I am happy to give you as much information as you would like, including pricing. Inspiration for your cake can come from cake pictures, your wedding gown, invitation design. Have fun, your cake should reflect your personality.

CAN WE HAVE MULTIPLE CAKE FLAVORS?
Yes, couples often choose to have two or more flavors, to offer a choice to their guests, to please themselves, or just for fun. There is no additonal charge for multiple flavors.

CAN WE SAVE THE TOP TIER FOR OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY?
Yes, if you would like. Another option I offer is to bake a complimentary fresh Anniversary Cake. If you do choose to save the top tier of your cake, I will give you a box for saving it in the freezer.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EQUIPMENT RENTAL DEPOSIT?
A security is to ensure the return of all parts in a clean, unbroken and timely manner.  This is separate from your deposit to reserve your wedding date.  A separate check is written for the security deposit.  If all items are returned in clean, usable form and on time, the check will be returned to you.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, money order, check, credit card payment via PayPal. Clients may also make payments on the cake unitl it is paid in full.
